The Scottish born artist looks to channel the spirits of Americana past on new Single, Album

Welcome to the second edition of Quick Hitters! It's nice to share any spotlight I can with upcoming and indie artists; I understand their ambition, wants, and passions. Today, I will be sharing with you some information about a Country Western singer/songwriter all the way from the UK, Ernest Graves. Ernest is currently working on putting out his second LP, 'Hallelujah! Raise Your Hands to Heaven', in May, and has more music on the way. His new single, 'High and Lonesome', is out now for your listening pleasure (link below)!

Born in Scotland (and currently residing in the UK), Ernest has always had an interest in playing/producing music, and has experience in the Punk/Alternative scene prior to entering the world of Alt. Country with his debut album 'The Cosmic Cowboy'. Interestingly, the new single (and the entire upcoming record), were recorded live!

Ernest describes the single, 'High and Lonesome', as "a honky tonk bar song, filled with chiming 12 string, weeping pedal steel and twanging banjo", and as "Taking elements from 60s Bakersfield Country and mixing them with 60's Laurel Canyon chime High and Lonesome balances between countercultures in it's own unique way."

If that all sounds like your vibe (and it sounds like a vibe), then this single, and 'Hallelujah! Raise Your Hands to Heaven' should be right up your alley when it releases in May!
